Marine Services

Aarkoss operates across the full spectrum of marine environmental services -- from designing and deploying artificial reefs to brokering vessels and managing offshore logistics. If it happens in Gulf waters, we are there.

Artificial Reef Construction

We design, fabricate, and deploy artificial reef structures that restore marine habitats, enhance biodiversity, and protect coastlines. Our reef programme serves developers, government agencies, and marine conservation bodies across the Arabian Gulf.

Every reef deployment begins with a comprehensive marine ecology survey. We assess the site's existing biodiversity, benthic substrate, current patterns, water chemistry, and depth profile to design structures that will thrive in their specific location. No two reefs are identical because no two sites are the same.

Our fabrication capabilities include 3D-printed reef modules with complex internal geometries that mimic natural coral formations, engineered concrete reef balls with proprietary marine-grade mix designs, steel frame fish aggregation devices, and custom substrate units optimized for coral larval settlement. We select the technology that matches the ecological objective: biodiversity maximization, fish biomass production, coral transplantation, or coastal wave attenuation.

Post-deployment, every reef enters a long-term monitoring programme. Subsea cameras, environmental sensors, and regular diver surveys track colonization rates, species diversity, structural integrity, and water quality changes. This data feeds into our digital MRV platform, providing clients with auditable evidence of reef performance and biodiversity outcomes.

3D-Printed Reef Modules

Complex internal geometries printed in marine-grade materials that replicate natural reef micro-habitats. Designed to maximize surface area for coral settlement and provide shelter for juvenile fish.

Engineered Reef Balls

Proven concrete dome structures with optimized void patterns. Durable, cost-effective, and deployable at scale for large-area habitat restoration projects.

Fish Aggregation Structures

Steel and concrete frame structures designed to attract pelagic and reef-associated fish species. Used for fisheries enhancement and sustainable marine resource management.

Coral Settlement Substrates

Purpose-designed units with textured surfaces and chemical compositions that promote coral larval attachment. Used in coral garden and transplantation programmes.

Coastal Protection Reefs

Large-scale reef barriers engineered to attenuate wave energy and reduce coastal erosion while simultaneously providing marine habitat.

Marine Brokerage

Our brokerage division connects marine operators with the vessels, equipment, and logistics they need to work in Arabian Gulf waters efficiently and compliantly.

The Arabian Gulf is one of the world's busiest marine corridors, and operating here demands local knowledge, established supplier relationships, and regulatory expertise. Aarkoss brokers vessel charters for survey operations, marine construction, offshore supply, environmental monitoring, crew transfer, and diving support. We source from a network of Gulf-based and international vessel owners to match the right asset to each project requirement.

Beyond chartering, our procurement team sources marine equipment from subsea survey instruments to heavy-lift crane barges, diving systems to environmental monitoring stations. We manage the full procurement cycle: specification, sourcing, negotiation, quality assurance, and delivery logistics.

For operators entering Gulf waters or expanding their marine footprint, we provide port operations advisory covering local maritime authority requirements, customs procedures, berthing logistics, crew visa processing, and flag state compliance. Our team navigates the regulatory landscape so your vessels can navigate the water.

Brokerage Services

  • Vessel Chartering

Survey vessels, construction barges, anchor handlers, crew boats, diving support, and environmental monitoring craft. Short-term spot charters to multi-year term agreements.

  • Equipment Procurement

Subsea survey instruments, marine monitoring stations, diving systems, lifting equipment, safety gear, and environmental sampling equipment sourced through established supplier networks.

  • Offshore Logistics

Mobilization planning, equipment shipping, port-to-site transfers, weather routing, and coordination with harbour masters and port authorities across Gulf states.

  • Crew Management

Crew sourcing, rotation scheduling, visa processing, medical certification tracking, and compliance with maritime labour regulations.

  • Port Operations Advisory

Local regulatory guidance, customs clearance support, berthing arrangements, bunker procurement, and maritime authority liaison for Gulf port operations.

  • Marine Insurance & Risk

Insurance advisory for hull and machinery, P&I, cargo, and project-specific marine risk, working with specialist marine underwriters.

Marine Environmental Monitoring

Continuous, technology-driven monitoring of Gulf marine environments using satellite, subsea, and coastal sensor networks integrated into our digital MRV platform.

Baseline Ecological Surveys

Pre-development marine habitat mapping, species inventories, and ecological condition assessment to establish baselines for regulatory compliance and environmental monitoring.

Coral Reef Health Monitoring

Bleaching assessment, coverage mapping, recruitment surveys, and long-term health tracking using standardised reef check protocols and photogrammetric surveys.

Seagrass & Mangrove Monitoring

Satellite and drone-based coverage mapping, biomass estimation, health indexing, and carbon stock calculation for blue carbon programme verification.

Water Quality Networks

Continuous monitoring of temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, pH, and nutrient levels through distributed sensor networks with real-time alerting.

Marine Noise & Disturbance

Underwater acoustic monitoring for construction impact assessment, marine mammal detection, and compliance with environmental protection requirements.

Environmental Impact Assessment
